Shopify ↔ Dolibarr integration

4 min read

This app connects your Shopify store to your Dolibarr ERP. Your Dolibarr catalog and stock appear in Shopify, and your Shopify customers and orders appear in Dolibarr as third parties, sales orders, shipments, invoices and payments.

What it syncs

Each area has its own page in the app and its own switch, so you can turn on only what you need.

Products

Dolibarr to Shopify

Dolibarr products become Shopify products, with variants, prices, images and categories. You choose which fields Dolibarr may overwrite. You can also export Shopify products into Dolibarr.

Inventory

Dolibarr to Shopify

Stock from your Dolibarr warehouses is written to the Shopify locations you map them to, as soon as stock moves in Dolibarr or every two hours.

Customers

Shopify to Dolibarr

Shopify customers become Dolibarr third parties with billing and shipping contacts, matched by email so they are not duplicated.

Orders

Shopify to Dolibarr

Each Shopify order becomes a validated Dolibarr sales order. Once it is paid and fulfilled, the app can also create the shipment, the invoice and the payment.

Orders and customers only go one way

Nothing you record in Dolibarr is sent back to the Shopify order. A payment entered in Dolibarr does not mark the Shopify order paid, and a shipment closed in Dolibarr does not fulfil it. Do both in Shopify as well.

How syncing is triggered

There is no nightly batch. Each area runs in one or more of these three ways.

SuccessReal time

Within seconds

Webhooks

Shopify tells the app when an order changes. Dolibarr tells it when stock moves.

Automatic syncs

Switched on per store on the Product Sync page.

Which side owns what

Each kind of data has one owner. Edit it there, and let the app copy it to the other side.

Before you start

Have these ready, and setup takes about fifteen minutes.

  • A Dolibarr instance reachable over HTTPS

Self-hosted or DoliCloud, with the API REST module switched on.

  • A Dolibarr API key

Generated on a Dolibarr user that has rights to products, stock, third parties, orders, shipments and invoices.

  • At least one Dolibarr warehouse

Every Shopify location that should show stock needs a warehouse mapped to it.

  • Products that share a reference

The Dolibarr product Ref. and the Shopify SKU are how products are matched. Keep them identical.

On DoliCloud, API calls are limited

DoliCloud gives each instance a monthly API allowance and blocks the connection when it runs out. The app paces its requests and caches what it can, but very frequent full syncs on a small plan can still use the allowance up. Prefer the hourly product sync and the Stock Webhook module over repeated full syncs.
